Hello and thanks for visiting. I know it's hard to believe but I've just been appointed the 2nd youngest channel controller in the history of British television (again!) and I will be regularly updating this blog to let you - the all important viewers - know how I get on. (PLEASE NOTE: All TV ideas that are emailed to me will be passed on to the relevant commissioning team and genre heads)

Blog is dead
My flock, do come communicate with me https://twitter.com/#!/TheTVController
that's where I'll be from now on.

eeb bosses are happy to give Will.i.am carte blanche on the show — which kicks off this Saturday — as they had been desperate to hire him as a judge.
BBC1 chief Danny Cohen even drove all the way to Luton Airport to meet the star's private jet — which had only made a stop-off to refuel — and went on board to woo the singer for his star role.
